Conditions d'utilisation
By using Spark8 (spark8.xyz) you accept these terms. If you are a minor, read and accept them with a guardian.
1. What we provide
- An online toolbox, offered as-is and as-available. Tools may be added, changed, made free for a period, or retired; unlocks tied to your account are preserved as far as we can, but when an upstream data source is down we cannot promise the same output.
- Tool output is informational, not professional advice. BMI and body fat are formula estimates, currency rates are delayed public data, date math relies on a static holiday table (uncovered years fall back to weekends only), and IP or number lookups are third-party inference. Verify before acting on it.
2. Accounts
- Registration requires an e-mail verified by a code. Keep your password to yourself; accounts may not be lent, rented or sold.
- You can reset your password through the self-service flow, and change nickname and avatar in your profile. Rebinding e-mail or phone has no self-service entry yet — contact support.
- The account holder is responsible for activity under the account. Report suspicious sign-ins to support immediately.
3. Prohibited uses (the important one)
Some of our tools produce or look up data that is indistinguishable from the real thing, so we draw the line explicitly.
- Names, phone numbers, ID numbers, unified social credit codes, card numbers and IBANs from the fake-data generator are for software testing, demos, teaching and placeholders only. Do not use them to impersonate a real person, bypass real-name or risk controls, fabricate documents or claims, or obtain benefits or indemnities. If a generated value collides with a real subject, do not direct it at that subject.
- IP, phone-registry, WHOIS, DNS and SSL lookups may only target something you own or are lawfully authorised to check. They must not be used to dox, track, locate, harass, discriminate, or bulk-harvest.
- Hashing, encryption, JWT and password tools must not be used to forge someone else’s credentials, break into systems they do not own, or process other people’s confidential information.
- Do not publish, store or transmit unlawful or third-party-infringing content through the site, including via tickets and avatar uploads.
- Do not hammer the site with scripted polling, load testing, or attempts to bypass point or membership checks.
Breaching these boundaries may lead to limitation, suspension or deletion of your account and content; where conduct appears unlawful we may act within what the law requires. You can appeal a decision through support.
4. Free tier, points and membership
- Most tools are free forever. Advanced tools are unlocked with points, require membership, or can be bought outright; the price is shown on the tool page.
- Points come from check-ins, referrals and purchase. They are an internal accounting unit: not cashable, not transferable, cleared when the account is deleted.
- Unlocks bought with points or money persist in your account. When a membership expires, membership-only tools return to locked state while outright purchases stay usable.
- Pricing and free daily limits may change. New terms apply going forward; benefits you already hold are not clawed back because a price changed.
5. Payment and fulfilment
- The only rail today is WeChat transfer: after ordering, the page shows a QR code and a remark code. Include the remark code exactly as instructed — it is the key to matching your payment.
- Fulfilment is confirmed two ways: automatic matching against a payment screenshot, and manual review. Until confirmed, the order shows as pending in your account and benefits are not granted.
- Check the amount and item before paying. If something goes wrong (wrong amount, duplicate payment, wrong item, benefit missing), send the order number and the transfer proof to support; refunds are handled under applicable law and the funds actually received. We do not promise a fixed fulfilment or refund deadline, but we do report progress.
- Minors should pay with guardian consent.
- We do not accept third-party payments of unclear origin or any transfer that could facilitate money laundering; suspicious orders are cancelled and recorded.
6. Your data and content
- What you type or upload into a tool (PDFs, score sheets, text, drafts) stays yours. We claim no licence, do not train models on it, and do not resell it; the parts that must be forwarded to third parties are itemised in section 2 of the Privacy Policy.
- Support may ask for a screenshot or sample to debug; mask anything sensitive first.
- Tools that run entirely in your browser never see your input, which also means we cannot recover an unsaved result — export it.
7. Intellectual property and third-party licences
Page layout, wording and marks belong to Spark8. Open components (pdf-lib, Chart.js, OpenCC dictionaries) are used under their respective licences. External data such as maps and geolocation remains subject to its providers’ terms and attribution requirements (for example OpenStreetMap and its contributors).
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, data loss or business loss arising from using or being unable to use a tool, and an incorrect result is not a breach of any obligation. Where loss is caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, statutory liability applies and is not limited here.
9. Changes to these terms
Updates are published here with a revision date; material changes (payment and refund rules, data flows) are additionally announced on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
10. Disputes
Talk to us first — support reaches the people who run the site. Failing that, the laws of the People’s Republic of China apply (without affecting mandatory rules of another jurisdiction) and disputes go to the competent authority.
In-app display wins over this summary: the points or price shown on a tool page and the expiry shown in your account are authoritative.
